About

We decode what labels hide.

NutriDécrypte grades every food and supplement from A to E. Independent. Transparent. No brand pays to change a grade.

The story

It started with a "light natural" yogurt. The front of pack promised simple, healthy, high-protein. Flip the label and you find three additives, two flavourings, and more sugar than a standard yogurt. It was the hero product of a brand still flying a B on the Nutri-Score.

We looked for a public tool that combined the Nutri-Score, the NOVA classification, and the EFSA additives registry. It did not exist. So we built it.

NutriDécrypte is built on a simple conviction: the European consumer deserves a single, reproducible verdict, anchored in official sources, on everything they put in the cart. Not marketing. Not regulatory jargon. One grade from A to E, sourced, recomputed at every reformulation.

Our declared enemy

The food industry marketing that manufactures vagueness. The "natural", "source of", "free from" claims that tell half the truth. Ultra-processing disguised as farmhouse food. Additives renamed every time they get flagged.

We do not rate brands. We rate their exact composition against science, against official opinions, against the reality of the European shopping cart.

The editorial team

NutriDécrypte is published by a team of four professionals. Editorial pen names, full bios on each author page. Clinical review required on every health-related topic.

What drives us

Total transparency

Every grade is deterministic and reproducible. The methodology is public. No black box.

Zero influence

No brand pays to change a grade. Affiliate links fund the site, never the scoring.

For the consumer

Every page is written for an aisle-side decision, not a regulator. Clarity over exhaustiveness.

Our editorial promise

  • No payment ever changes a grade. Affiliate links fund the operation but do not touch scoring.
  • Official sources only. ANSES, EFSA, Open Food Facts, NOVA, Santé publique France. Every data point cited.
  • Open methodology. Every grade is reproducible from our methodology page .
  • No medical advice. For any health question, consult a licensed professional. Our clinical guides are reviewed by Sarah Keller, registered dietitian.
  • Data respect. Never sold. See our privacy policy .

How we fund the site

The site is free for all users. We receive an affiliate commission when someone clicks a link to a partner marketplace (supplements, organic brands, quality groceries). That commission never touches the scoring. Brands cannot negotiate a grade upgrade.

Food is the number-one discretionary expense in European households. It is also the number-one source of health anxiety. If we can help one label get read for real, the project pays for itself.
